A student in a primary class has a high grasping power, and this is the right time for them to learn foreign languages. In the business world, MNCs often highly welcome employees with multilingual proficiency as compared to their professional skills, which can be imparted through in-house training! Foreign language proficient candidates are therefore much sought after in the industry.
At the primary school level, kids will learn any language you teach them. Once they complete their 10+2 and try for higher education opportunities only then will they know that France and Germany welcome students with proficiency in French and German for free education. Yes, you heard it right! This is the vision of why a foreign language is taught at this age to build a base in schools. Only if parents have a futuristic vision towards their child's future can this kind of multi-language proficiency be imparted to young adults.

We have been in the overseas education industry for the past 17 years. When we ask our students regarding the multi-language opportunity at school, they inform us, yes, we had the chance, but we thought to opt for the native language as it was an excellent chance to score marks!
Now, with the world moving towards globalisation, learning a foreign language can benefit in various ways, be it business opportunities, export and import of your products, networking with people across the globe.
We bring in the skill development domain; also, we are in the recruitment panels of many MNCs. In 2017, IBM chose two candidates from an engineering college just because they had proficiency in German and French even though their academic performance was not much evident. Companies utilise multilingual candidates in their respective client's onsite project.
Now, with the world moving towards globalisation, learning a foreign language can benefit in various ways, be it business opportunities, export and import of your products, networking with people across the globe. Your child will soon be a professional in the future who will come back to you irrespective of any industry they are in and ask why s/he was denied the chance of being multi-lingual. Encourage them and allow them to explore. Native languages can be taught to children by us at home but not foreign languages!
Please think and act.
