For the past three quarters, I’ve had difficulties with my sense of smell and taste. Although, my taste buds can sense the basic, but not the variety of food flavors.
Because of this, the spark of carrying on my perfume business, Belle Ame, was slowly dying down.
For the longest time, we haven’t been actively promoting the business. Though thank God, orders are still coming in even though we are not advertising. Maybe this is God’s way of telling me to not totally drift away from this venture that he has blessed me four years ago.
Alongside Belle Âme Essentials, I’m also running a digital marketing services business catering to different clients abroad. This was where I put most of my attention and efforts while I was pressing on with my tasteless and odorless days.
Sometimes your passion and joy to continue your business may dwindle due to unexpected circumstances. But take heart and do not be discouraged as every entrepreneur goes through a lot of challenges.
It is indeed true that we appreciate things better once we lose them, like the ability to taste and smell – small things but with great value that we don’t appreciate much in our everyday lives.
I thought I would forever lose my sense of smell and taste. But I thank God, after going through medication, everything has come back to normal. After almost a year, I can again savor the flavors of what I eat and enjoy the scent of my perfume!
And out of the blue, a few days after all my senses were back to their normal functions, different people connected to growing Belle Âme Essentials reached out to me. It was a wake-up call. I knew it was God telling me, "Hey lady, it's time to rekindle that spark."
So yes, here I am with my mojo back! Showing up and ready for the rebirth of my baby, Belle Âme Essentials! New logo (yes we are rebranding) new website soon, NEW GOALS - all things fresh to light up our souls again.

Your ‘whys’ matter because these will be your anchors during the stormy seasons in your life and in business. Who and what are your ‘whys?” For me, it’s always my kids who are also my motivating force.
Four years in the business, and we are still up and running. We will surely be tested, but we will not give up. God has got me covered.
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you. - Deuteronomy 31:8
